Angels guard my little nest

by Scott
(Hauppauge, NY )

Now I lay me down to rest
Angels guard my little nest
like the wee birds in the tree
Heavenly Father cares for me.

This song was part of Photobucket stock music. Photobucket does not have stock music any more. I would like to know the title of the song and or I if I can get a copy of the song. The song had bagpipe in the beginning of the song and then someone sang playing a guitar

My Childhood Prayer and for now, too. NEW
by: Judy

Now I lay me down to rest.
Angels guard my little nest.
Like the wee bird in the tree,
Loving Father care for me.
Glad and well may I awake
and this I ask for Jesus sake. Amen

From 1940s NEW
by: Anonymous

I had a fuzzy picture on my wall that would glow in the dark. This prayer was part of the picture. It was my prayer every night. I'd add my God blesses onto the prayer. We'd say, like the birdies in the trees, heavenly father care for me.

Angel Guard My Little Nest NEW

This was the prayer my parents said to me and taught me and my siblings when I was a child. I was born in 1963. I, in turn, said it with my own children when we prayed at bedtime. I love this prayer! Is the same, except we said, "like the wee birds in the trees (instead of tree)" and "heavenly father care (instead of cares) for me". Very special to me.

Nightly Prayer NEW
by: Jellebeing

I also knew it as a prayer in the late 50’s (also "care for me") for some reason it popped into my head today 🤔

My mother taught me this prayer shortly after 1946. All words the same except Heavenly Father care for me, instead of cares for me.
