Easy Songs and Lullabies to Learn and Sing

For many of us, learning new songs is a challenge. Luckily, there are many easy songs and lullabies to learn and sing. If we take it slowly and break up each song to learn its parts, we can at least learn some favorite verses. The steps to learning a new song are:

- Learn the melody without the words.- Humm it or lululu it until you are comfortable with the tune.- Then learn one verse at a time.

Before you know it, you'll know a couple of lullabies.

To start things off, there is one melody that is the basis for three different children's songs. So if you learn this one melody, you already have the melody for the other two. The three songs are -

The ABC Song (also called the alphabet song)

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle twinkle also has a number of lullaby book versions. Our favorite is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star lullaby book.

There are many other simple lullabies. If you're looking for some variety, try these:

Jesus Loves Me

Kumbaya

The Moon Lullaby

These songs can be fun to sing for the whole family.
