Welsh Lullaby Lyrics, Background and More

Some of our favorite lullabies at Lullaby-Link come from the Welsh lullaby tradition. English translations made it possible for these gorgeous songs to be sung in the English and American tradition. Many, including Ar Hyd y Nos (All Through the Night) and Suo Gan (Sleep My Baby) have been embraced in English since the early 18th and 19th centuries and are sung by parents all over the English speaking world.

All Through the Night

Golden Slumbers

Sleep My Babe

Sleep My Baby

There was an Old Woman

Wild Mountain Thyme

We hope that you will enjoy learning and singing these songs to your children. If you know another song that we could add to our list we would love to hear from you! Please send us a message. We welcome any and all comments about how we can make this site more user friendly, informative and entertaining.
