Chuck PalahnuikLullaby is an award winning horror satire novel. He wrote it while struggling with a decision on whether to seek the death sentence for the murderer of his own father and his girl friend. They were murdered by the girl friend's ex-husband who had been jailed for sexually abusing her. Pretty thick stuff.
The story is a classic here I am today and here is how I got here tale. It is about a children's book with a certain poem that can kill and is responsible for a growing number of sudden infant deaths. It's power becomes known to the protagonist and to others and the story unfolds as each person uses or misuses the power of the poem.
The book won the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Award in 2002.
