My mom used to sing a slightly different version, it was longer.
Go to sleep little one said the clock on the wall, go to sleep cus it's time for the sand man to call, if you close your eyes he will take your Hand
and you will fly through the sky to a far away land.
You will meet little jack corner and little boy blue
and the little old lady who lives in a shoe little bo peep will be counting her sheep
if you just close your eyes little one go to sleep
