Hush my little one, Hush don't you cry

Hush my little one, Hush don't you cry
There's sheep in the meadow and stars in the sky,
There's a gentle breeze blowing and the river keeps flowing
And the cows will come home in the sweet bye and bye.

It's important to me as my dad sang it to me and I would really like to sing it to my own children. Can anyone help?

So my Irish nan used to sing it to me. The second part of the song went something like:

It’s only a song I have in my mind from the days of long long ago, when my mama would rock me in her loving arms, and gently she’d sing me this sweet old song.

This bit had a different tune :-)

I have searched all F&A's discography but cannot find an album call Reminisce or any other album containing this lullaby. I sang it to my daughters 35 yrs ago and they are singing it to their children now. Unfortunately we only have the first verse and would like to learn more.

Am I being daft? When I google the lyrics to Foster and Allen they don’t seem to contain the words from the original post.
I only know the words written above and would love to learn the whole song.
