Hush-a-by little one.

by Christine
(NY)

My mother used to sing this song to me when I was little. She recently passed away, and I would really love to find this song so I can remember the entire lyrics. I just remember

"hush-a-by little one, dream sweet dreams little one. Night time is here, (there's) nothing to fear. (So) close your eyes little one, my little one".

I'm not too sure about all of those words or the order in which they are sung. This song was actually on an old Alvin and the Chipmunks episode or movie, from the late 80's or early 90's.

It's about when Dave finds the chipmunks. Their mother protects them from a wild boar and is killed. She would sing this lullaby to the chipmunks when they were babies. PLEASE!!! If anyone can find this song for me, I would be so happy! It means a lot to me!

Chipmonks Lullaby
by: Daniel

Looked this up too, found it under the name "Vinny's Lullaby". It's the song the chipmonks mother sang to them in an episode way back. Here are the lyrics:

Hush a bye, little one
Close your eyes, little one
Dream time is near, you needn't fear
And when you wake, I will be here

Rest your head, little one
Dream sweet dreams, little one
The stars say "Good night", I say "Sleep tight"
And when you wake, I will be here

Hush Little One Hush
by: Anonymous

Perhaps this is the song you are looking for. An old movie favorite of mine I used to sing to my son, Movie "Night of the Hunter" w/Robert Mitchim black and white.

Hush...little one...hush
Hush my little one...hush
Morning soon shall light your pillow
Birds singing in yonder willows
Hush...little one Hush
Hush...little one hush

Rest dearest one rest
Rest here on my breast

and so forth
