Rest, little one, safe in my arms; I will protect you from every harm.

Rest, little one, safe in my arms
I will protect you from every harm
Holding you closely
Keeping you warm
Rest, little one
Rest, little one
Rest.

Much as I love you,
dear as you are,
His Word reminds me,
He loves you more.

My sister and I both played lullabies on a cassette tape when we had our infant daughters. Cassette tapes easily melt in the heat, and we both live in Florida...we both threw our tapes away, assuming the other had a copy. Now neither one of us can remember the title of the tape or the singer. It was beautiful, and we have so many memories connected. I have googled and googled and have found nothing. "Rest, Little One" is just one of many wonderful lullabies on the tape.

I was searching for this song today and found both your question and a recording on YouTube. Did you already see it?

He says to me just as I say to you . . .
Rest little one.

I loved singing this to my kids and realizing on a new level what god's love is like!

I listened to this tape when I was a little girl. The words in the songs mean so much to me. I wish I could find a CD of all the songs off of this tape.
