sleep little joy of my heart

Mommies rare lambkin though are. Go to the land far away, there with the angels do play. Then from that magical shore, come back to mommy once more. Oh sleep angel, sleep.

This is a song that my mom used to sing to me in the late 60s/early 70s. Anything you can find would delight me.

Thank you,
Monarch 65

Sleep Little Joy lyrics I learned as achil NEW
by: Anonymous

Sleep little joy of my heart
Mother's sweet lambkin thou art
Sleep in thy warm downy nest
All little babies must rest
Dream of a wonderful land
Play on its silvery sand
Then from that magical Shore
Come back to mother once more
Now sleep, baby, sleep

Sleep little joy of my heart.

My memory of this lullaby
"Sleep little joy of my heart
Mother’s rare jewel though art!
Sleep in thy warm downey vest
All little babies must rest.
Lest I might lose the awhile
Miss thy bright innocent smile
Go to a land far away
There with the angels to stay!"
