I got a 45 record of this in my sample pack from johnson and Johnson in 1973 when I had my 1st son. Sang it to all my kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews and good friends kids!!
I am not a great singer but do remember the melody. Think I should record it. My son just turned 50yo!
Anyone find a recording, please let me know.

My Dad used to play a recording of this back in the early 1960’s. The record itself was yellow rather than black, I think the center printed title was on a navy blue background. I might even still have the recording, but I am not home do cannot check right now.

My mom used to sing this song to me when I was little and now I sing it to my girls! I’ve heard it sing as Snuggle Down, snuggle down, snuggle down, but my mom sang it as "And God’s taking care of you". So make that change if you like it better.

My Canadian mother sang this to us three girls overseas in the fifties. I never knew the second verse but sang this to our three children and now my grandson of four months is hearing it.

It came on a 45 sp record that was in a new baby gift pack from hospital. I am still singing it to my grandkids.I know all verses and the melody but have not found a download.

I came across your request and realized I still had the 45 record. I had to find a record player to be able to hear the words ( I couldn't remember them all either.)

The wording for the last verse is:

the clock is chiming a happy chime

It was by Dora Hall and arranged and conducted by Jimmy Haskall
